Wednesday nights at SMCC are for everyone!
At SMCC, we believe two core needs for every Christ-follower are fellowship and the study of Scripture. On Wednesday nights, we try to combine both of these core needs, with different Bible studies that will both encourage deeper growth in God’s Word, as well as cultivate community with other believers.
We offer child-care for all children, ages 0 through 5th grade!
The following is a regularly-updated offering of the different classes we offer, listed in order of times. Whether you’re looking for a more permanent place to grow spiritually, or if you’re in town for the week and wish to join us, you’re always welcome to join us at Wednesday Nights at SMCC!
Note: We offer childcare for all children through the age of 5th grade in our Smoky Mountain Kids wing!
5:30PM— Love167 Discipleship Training
Meant for: Those who registered for Love167 training.
This 6-week course is part of our vision for 2020, and the goal of the course is to train and equip Christians for disciple-making in the present day. This is a practical course that goes from beginning to end in 6 weeks, and because of its nature, it requires a sign-up prior to starting the course. If you’re interested, the next course is set to start in the first week of May! To join the next course, send an email to info@smokymountainchurch.com, or be on the lookout for a registration form on Sunday mornings in the next few weeks!
6:00PM— Jr. High & High School Youth Group
Meant for: Students in 6th through 12th grade.
SMCC Youth begins each Wednesday at 6pm and concludes at 7:30, and meets in the Youth Annex building, just down the steps from our main building. Each week begins with food, then continues into a time of teaching that includes Bible study, games, and group discussion. All junior high and high school students are welcome to attend! If you have any questions, email our youth minister, Griffin, at griffin@smokymountainchurch.com.
6:00PM— Women’s Bible Study
Meant for: Women who desire to dig deep and be challenged by Scripture.
Our women’s Bible study meets at 6:00pm each Wednesday night in one of our upstairs classrooms; enter through the glass doors and turn right! The goal of this Bible study is to take one area of Scripture and study it on a much deeper level than most studies. The current study covers the life of the prophet Elijah; all women are welcome to join!
6:30PM— General Bible Study
Meant for: All adults.
Our general Bible study meets at 6:30pm each Wednesday night in our downstairs family room; enter through the glass doors and head down the stairs! Depending on the time of year, this class alternates topical studies between thought-provoking books, books of the Bible, and other studies. The current study covers the topic of life’s disruptive moments, through a book study of David Jeremiah’s “What to do When your World Falls Apart.” All are welcome to join!
